Movies are a big deal for us. They are by far one of our favorite pastimes. We find that they inspire us creatively and can often be a source of encouragement as well.
If you saw the recent video we shot, you’ll know that we are waiting with anticipation for the upcoming Academy Awards. To get ready for the special night, we spent our date night this week preparing these golden beauties followed by a viewing of The Tree Of Life, nominated for Best Picture.
Happy Friday – enjoy!

I remember being in Cali this time last year and what fun we had preparing and watching the awards. It won’t be the same for me this year but you will be on my mind.
The Tree of Life, I’m not familiar with this movie. Did you like it?
Is this your first viewing of Tree of Life?
Adorable cookies. Curious to hear what you thought of Tree of Life….
What a lovely date night idea! The golden treats sound perfect for an Oscars celebration, and The Tree of Life is such a thought-provoking film. For anyone inspired to create content around movie moments, see here for ScriptMind—it instantly extracts text from videos, making it easy to repurpose ideas into blog posts.
Nice reflection on how films feed creativity. The idea that movies can be both inspiration and encouragement is easy to underestimate until you notice how often a scene shapes the way you approach your own work.
The idea of building a whole date night around a film and a themed dessert is exactly the kind of small ritual that makes movie season fun, and the golden cookies match The Tree of Life’s palette nicely. The writing has a warm, personal tone that suits this kind of lifestyle post. Adding the recipe proportions or a link to the icing method would make it easier to actually recreate.
