Classic Wedding at Nestldown

Collage of wedding details from Nestldown wedding in Los Gatos

I’m often asked to describe my ideal client. Though we do have a description of our ideal client, I don’t usually share the list when asked this question because there is one item on the list that’s really the core.

The top thing we look for when meeting potential clients is if we could see ourselves developing a friendship with them over the course of planning and photographing their wedding. This is by far the most important thing we look for during a client meeting. The service we provide requires trust and vulnerability from both sides. And on top of that, we like to have a lot of fun when we work. These are all foundational for cultivating a friendship so we look for these in our client meeting process.

I have Caitlin from Caitlin Arnold Weddings and Events to thank for our client-friends, Nikki and Gabe. One of the most valuable things a wedding planner provides their client is matching them with the ideal vendors to fit their wedding aesthetic, as well as, their personalities. The first time we met Nikki and Gabe we knew they were the perfect fit for Pictilio, a true match made in heaven. And it’s all thanks to Caitlin’s killer matching skills!

Nikki and Gabe, where do I even begin with you two? You have hearts of gold! I loved getting to enjoy your sweet and fun personalities at every meeting, in every email, or during our occasional double dates. We will forever remember your engagement session in the snowy mountains of Park City, Utah. And the unforgettable moments of your fairytale wedding at Nestldown will forever be etched in both our hearts and minds. I cannot wait to celebrate your SMP feature with you on Sunday! Congratulations! I hope your wedding and your story will encourage and inspire other couples planning their upcoming weddings.

You can find Nikki and Gabe’s classic wedding among the trees at Nestldown on Style Me Pretty. A big thank you to Style Me Pretty for all the love! You guys always take such good care of us.

If you’d like to see other weddings we’ve had the pleasure of being featured on SMP, you can find a stunning backyard wedding and a rustic winter wedding.

Justin & Jennifer
Wedding at
Westin St. Francis

Jennifer knocked on the door and walked straight into Justin’s life.

She had accompanied her best friend on a trip to New York City and Justin just so happened to be the roommate of the friend they were visiting. And it also just so happened that the two were a perfect pair. The end of the trip was only the beginning for Justin and Jennifer. They weren’t going to let the distance between New York and California keep them apart. In fact, it only brought them closer and made their love run deeper.

Justin and Jennifer were married at the Westin St. Francis at Union Square. It was a black tie wedding with an old San Francisco vibe, just the way they envisioned it. With their closest friends and family by their side, the two promised forever. Cheers and celebration followed the magical first kiss. And that was it, their forever had already begun as husband and wife.

Justin and Jennifer, your wedding day was full of excitement and beauty. Thank you for inviting us to play the special role as your wedding photographers. It was a pleasure to be a part of so many special memories – especially those incredible toasts from your family and friends. Vitaliy and I wish you a marriage filled with love and laughter! Congratulations!

Melissa & Lachlan
Annadel Estate Winery Wedding

Melissa met Lachlan while out one night with her sister in San Francisco.

The two sat by the window of the bar watching people pass by and chatting when they heard an interesting accent coming from a group of gentlemen inside the bar. They quickly deciphered the accent and Melissa’s sister approached the group to have a little fun practicing her Australian accent. Melissa tagged along not realizing she was about to be introduced to her future husband. Though Melissa and her sister actually approached Lachlan and his friends first, he likes to hold claim to spotting Melissa through the window of the bar before ever walking inside.

But the magic of their love story lies in the timing. Knowing he only had one more day before returning to Australia, Lachlan asked Melissa for her number and confirmed a date for the following day. One date. And they found themselves in a long distance romance.

Lachlan and Melissa were married at the beautiful Annadel Estate Winery. They were joined by their families for a very intimate, emotional and sweet ceremony. It could not have been more perfect! Every detail included and every person in attendance held significance and meaning in their lives. It was truly a special day in every way.

Lach and Melissa, thank you so much for inviting us to play such a special part at your wedding as your photographers. We couldn’t have thought of a better way to finish out 2013 then with the two of you. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to document such sweet moments for you and your family. Congratulations! We wish you a marriage filled with love and laughter. We can’t wait to get together again soon! We love you both! -V&C
