Brian + Shayla Married at
The Sofitel

The best line of the day may have been when Brian promised to love Shayla “for richer or, for mostly poorer.”

The audience joined in one collective laugh and I smiled behind my camera. Regardless of their financial situation, these two will definitely be rich. They’ll be rich in love and in laughter because they aren’t just lovers promising their lives to one another, they are best friends. And friendship is a necessity in any marriage. Brian and Shayla met at church, fell in love over conversation, and are now husband and wife. They said “I Do” at the Hotel Sofitel and their day was filled with elegance, class and a whole lot of love.

Brian and Shayla, we wish you a lifetime together as husband and wife, lovers, and best friends. Your love and admiration for one another is very evident. We hope you will continue to cherish and nurture that in your marriage. Cheers to a lifetime of laughter!

Wedding Season The
Kick-off

We have officially kicked off wedding season!

My body reminded me of the fact this morning. But despite the physical exhaustion a wedding day brings, we couldn’t be happier to be back at it. This is a special season – it’s our first one as Pictilio. Changing our business to Pictilio was so much more than just a name/logo change. This is our fourth wedding season and we are more excited than ever. And thankful. Thankful for where we are at, how much we’ve grown over the years. But honestly, thankful for the clients we have. Documenting Brian and Shayla’s wedding this weekend was a simple reminder of how great our clients are to entrust their most important day to us.

Here is a sneak peek! Happy Tuesday!

Becca+Orion
The Details

When I walked into the home where Becca and Orion’s wedding was held, I was giddy with excitement. All of the design elements spoke to my girlish heart and I was thrilled to be a part of such an event. And let’s keep it real, I tried to convince Vitaliy that our dresser at home should be filled with desserts, but I couldn’t get him to agree.

Allison, Becca’s sister and creator of Engaged and Inspired, is a craft connoisseur. She was the mastermind behind all of the details you see and executed them all beautifully. What an incredible wedding gift for her sister! It was wonderful to get to work with Allison. Her creativity is inspiring and it was a joy to get to document all of her hard work and her sister’s nuptials.

Before I go, I have to give a shout out to Yasmin of Floral Theory. We had the pleasure of working with her on Josh and Shelby’s wedding last December. She is the best! Her work is always original and she is a complete joy to work with. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that Allison teamed up with her for Becca and Orion’s wedding. Only the best for family, right?

Happy Thursday everyone! Enjoy!
