Jeffrey & Phoebe
Engaged

I never would have imagined high school band class being a place where sparks could fly. If only I knew then what I know now.

But that was precisely what happened for Jeffrey and Phoebe. While Jeffrey played the percussion, he spotted a girl on the clarinet and sparks began to fly. The girl’s name was Phoebe and without hesitation he put an entire plan in place for getting to know her. However, by the end of the school year, it was all still just an idea. And unfortunately for Jeffrey, Phoebe was still just the girl from band class.

Thankfully, high school is four years long which meant Jeffrey had four chances to make his move. They did eventually attend a high school dance together, but they were still “just friends” at graduation. It would take a few more years, long distances between them, and the internet to finally bring these two together. But I’m happy to say that in 2008 Jeffrey was finally able to declare Phoebe was more than just the girl from band class when their relationship became Facebook official. But it was only a matter of time before their status changed from “in a relationship” to “engaged”.

Phoebe and Jeffrey, thank you for giving us the honor of photographing your love and laughter. You guys are clearly meant to be together and we couldn’t be happier for you both. Congratulations! Love to you both!

Check back next week to see pictures of Phoebe and Jeffrey tying the knot.

Larry+Amy
Engaged

Amy sat at the bar chatting with a friend during one of San Francisco’s many festivals.

The chair next to her was empty until serendipitously Larry sat down. He struck up a conversation with the two friends and then went on his way. Before Amy got up to leave, she noticed a piece of paper sitting near their drinks. It was Larry’s phone number. Amy was unsure who he’d left it for until her friend assured her it was meant for Amy. She called him following their first meeting, but the curiosity eventually fizzled out as the days passed by.

Though Larry was out of sight and therefore out of mind, Amy soon realized the attraction was still there when she ran into Larry a few months later. She gave him a hard time about not following up with her and he consented to her accusations. As he looked into her eyes and felt the same attraction, he knew he wasn’t going to make that mistake twice.

On one of their first dates, Amy snuck Larry into her job to watch a screening of a new movie. As they ran through the entrance gate together to appear as one person instead of two, it all became very clear. This was the start of two becoming one. Larry was the one she wanted to walk side by side with for every adventure life may bring.

Larry and Amy, this is the start of something beautiful. Marriage is such a sweet gift and we are so excited for the two of you. It was so much fun getting to know you both during this session. We cannot wait for your upcoming wedding! And we hope for many more Italian dinners together. Congratulations! We love you both!

Yotam+Angela Engaged

If someone were to ask me for advice on choosing a spouse, one of my top recommendations would be to marry your best friend.

That is exactly what Yotam and Angela are doing. After being in the same circle of friends for 4 – 5 years, they eventually broke away and started spending some one on one time together. To put it best, they began developing a friendship with neither of them realizing they were falling for the other. But friends and family were not fooled. Let’s just say bets were placed on when they’d finally see it for themselves and start dating.

Three years ago, while attending the North Beach Festival in SF, Yotam and Angela spontaneously kissed. It must have been unforgettable because they’ve been together ever since.

Yotam and Angela, we are so excited for your wedding this October. We have no doubt it’s going to be a blast because being with the two of you is always a ton of fun. Congratulations on your engagement! We hope your marriage is full of spontaneous kisses. Love to you both!
