Stewart+Andrea
Engaged

Andrea and Stewart just so happened to meet at work.

While their friendship blossomed, Stewart’s feelings began to change for Andrea. He longed to show her all that she deserved, to really be her knight in shining armor. He would soon have his chance to come riding in and swoop Andrea off her feet.

Finding out that the feelings were mutual, he took every chance to show Andrea what a true gentleman looks like. She was his lady and he was her man. He wouldn’t let another day to go by without her!

Thankfully, he wouldn’t have to – the two were essentially inseparable from that point forward. And their friends and family were just as excited about the union. They were simply meant to be “Andrea + Stewart.”

Andrea and Stewart, from the first email you ever sent us, we knew we were a perfect match for each other. You are both thoughtful, kind and a whole lot of fun. This engagement session only made us like you more. We cannot wait for your upcoming wedding this July. It is set to be fabulous! Congratulations again!

Date Night Idea:
Beer Tasting

Vitaliy and I often let our environment inspire date night ideas for us.

On a recent trip to Portland, we couldn’t help but notice the plethora of pubs, lounges, and tap rooms. We realized that if we truly wanted to experience Portland as a local, we needed to do a little beer tasting. And let me tell you, it definitely rivals wine tasting in my book.

We started our tasting at Bailey’s Tap Room. We opted for the smaller glasses so that we could taste in moderation. I loved the big windows at Bailey’s, which gave us street side views of the city while we sipped and savored our drinks. They had board games to enjoy which always keeps a date night fun. And here’s our little tip, bring along your own bar snacks just in case. We had some left over roasted peanuts from our road trip that I grabbed from the car. They were the perfect complement to our brew!

Though we enjoyed Bailey’s, Deschutes Brewery took home the Best Beer award for the night. Our waiter suggested we try the Red Chair, stating that it was the best beer in the world. In the world? We were intrigued by such a statement and after just one taste we could see why. It was fantastic! I paired it with a pretzel with cheese and Vitaliy got a sausage link with sauerkraut. But unlike the beer at Bailey’s, we could have drank the Red Chair without any accompanied snacks. It was that good!

Here are a few other date ideas inspired by Portland:

Enjoy a bike ride downtown.
Try out a hipster hotel.
Visit your city’s famous food joint.

Road Tripping

Unexpected weather

Vitaliy and I are at the Alt Design Summit in Salt Lake City this week. We drove into the city with signs that read “Poor Air Quality, Travel Wise.” We were clueless until the following day when we woke up to a smog covered city. Not to mention, my cold that started off as a cough has turned into something much uglier. That poor air quality has literally turned into poor breathing quality. The ironic thing is that I was sick last year at Alt too.

Thankfully, Vitaliy tagged along with me this year and has been my faithful doctor and nurse. He prescribes my daily medicine regimen, makes me tea, and encourages me to make the most of this conference. So that’s what we’re doing! We enjoyed a fabulous Clue Themed Party this evening. We coordinated with Professor Plum as our color inspiration. More on that next week!

But for now, stay safe out there! It sounds like the weather is crazy all over the US. Yesterday, we woke up to our car covered in ice. But today is a new adventure! And I’ll be tackling it with my tissues and cough syrup in hand.
