Growing up, my mom used to always have home and garden magazines lying around. She would clip her favorite pictures for inspiration and tape them into a book to reference later. It was her own version of Pinterest before it ever existed.
Michael and Kate’s wedding felt like I had walked into one of the magazine clippings in my mother’s book. It was elegant and romantic with pale colored florals scattered throughout. While the flowers from Twig and Petals were stunning, and I mean stunning, I could not keep my eyes off of the rustic oak chairs from Hartmann Rentals. They were so unique and added the perfect amount of charm to the event.
Before I end, I have to highlight the incredible work of Alicia and her team at Carrie Dove Catering. They coordinated the entire event and did it all with smiles on their faces. Vitaliy and I had such a great time working alongside them for Michael and Kate’s wedding.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Candace – your blog post touched my heart. I went a bit crazy planning all the little decor details of our wedding because I wanted everything to “feel” like my mom. Her style became so ingrained in me – from seeing her magazine “inspiration” clippings, to emails we would send back and forth of decorating ideas and many shopping trips to find the perfect charming little accessory. Details may seem silly to some, but I was so touched to see that you “get it” the way that I did. While we could not have my mom there, all these little details helped bring her a little closer to our big day.
I am so thankful to everyone that helped make our wedding feel like “HOME”!
