Dan+Sarah
A Photo Date

For as far back as I have memories of my cousin Dan, I have memories of Sarah.

Dan and Sarah met in the halls of Hazelwood Central High School the week before school started. While most kids were dreading the first day of school, these two were full of anticipation. They couldn’t wait for the chance to see each other again. They hung out at soccer games, chatted during class, and by homecoming they were officially an item. This is when Dan became forever Dan + Sarah in my memories.

Though Dan and Sarah met at such a young age, their love is anything but young. Making it through high school with your relationship in tact is an accomplishment in itself. But these two stay committed to each other through college, graduate school, seasons of long distance, and have even managed to find time to start a business together. Sarah is an architect by day and blogger by night. Her blog Sarah The Architect is one of my new favs! Dan is a contract creative, a creative mind for hire as he describes it. They combined their creativity and talents to launch Artifox this past year. You can see their first design here: The Lithe Desk.

During their last trip to San Francisco, we photographed a photo date to celebrate their love. As I looked through the images to prepare this post, I couldn’t believe how much they genuinely reflected Dan + Sarah. From the architecture and design elements, to their smiles and small gestures.

Dan and Sarah, two of the most creative people we know! We love you and are so thankful to have had this fun trip together with you both. We can’t wait for our next trip home to continue making memories with you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity of celebrating your love through photos. Hope you enjoy! We love you both!

Dominic+Desiree

Desiree was introduced to Dominic at work his first day at the new job.

She tried to register his name and new position, but all she could think about was how cute he was. That smile and those dimples! She worked to convince herself that there were no feelings involved, but her close friend could sense there was more going on inside. She could see the potential for the pair and decided to play matchmaker.

Though it wasn’t exactly serendipitous, it was definitely meant to be when Dominic and Desiree ended up at the same get together with friends. They seemed to really hit it off that night, but they both wondered if the other felt the same. But, after spending day after day together, the doubts began to dissipate. Their feelings were real and they found themselves in love.

Dom and Desiree, Vitaliy and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate your love and the little one on the way. Being with you was not only fun, it was a true pleasure. You are both beautiful individuals inside and out! We feel blessed to have met you both. Congratulations again on baby Angelo! I hope he is a constant reminder of the love between the two of you. We love you both!

RJ+Jamie
Engaged

RJ likes to refer to himself as the “silent killer.” He slowly and silently worked at winning over Jamie’s heart.

Jamie and RJ started off as just friends. She was the younger sister of a close friend which meant she was off limits. RJ was the life of the party so Jamie never took him too seriously as boyfriend material.

All that would change the day RJ realized that Jamie was worth taking a risk. But he was also well aware that he would need to work at making her take him seriously. RJ invited Jamie to a casual dinner but arrived all dressed up in work clothes in order to let her know there was much more to the party guy than she knew. But it wouldn’t be that easy. Not realizing that RJ asked her on a “date”, Jamie arrived to dinner with a mutual friend. Oops!

Though it may not have been the date of his dreams, he accomplished what he set out to do. Jamie definitely took notice and realized RJ was worth getting to know…off the dance floor. The two continued to drop hints to one another until RJ finally asked Jamie out on another date. This time she arrived alone and the two have been a pair ever since.
